This test card is used for quantitative determination of cardiac troponin I in human serum, plasma or whole blood in vitro. Cardiac troponin I (cTnI) is the most specific and sensitive biomarker in the diagnosis of myocardial injury and necrosis. CTnI increased 4 to 12 hours after myocardial injury and remained elevated for 4 to 10 days. CTnI entered the blood stream with irreversible ischemia myocardial cell injury and kept increasing for a long time. CTnI can also be seen in unstable angina (UAP) and congestive heart failure (CHF).
